Dominic Savio Youth Ministry
Our youth ministry is not simply a weekly youth group. We are trying to build something much bigger: a strong community where young people can make real friendships, have fun together, grow in confidence, and discover that following Jesus Christ is something both joyful and challenging. We want our young people to know that the Church is their home, and that they have an important place in it.
This ministry is still quite new, but it is already growing. We have taken young people from the parish to see the Beauty and the Beast pantomime, and we have travelled together to Alton Castle, where they spent time with other young Catholics, shared prayer, and experienced the wider life of the Church. These are only the beginning, and we are hoping to organise many more opportunities in the future: trips, social events, formation, service, and chances for young people to grow in faith together.

Our Parish Youth Leader is Judith Anwunah, who coordinates youth ministry across the parish. If you would like more information, or if your child would like to take part in future activities, please feel free to get in touch. Parents are encouraged to join the Youth Ministry WhatsApp group to receive updates about events, trips and new initiatives.
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to help build this ministry. You do not need special qualifications — only a willingness to support young people, give your time, and help create something positive for the next generation of the Church. If you would like to help in any way, please speak to Judith or contact the parish.
This is only the beginning, and we are excited about what lies ahead.
Why St Dominic Savio?
Our youth ministry is placed under the patronage of St Dominic Savio, a young Italian saint and pupil of St John Bosco. Dominic died at the age of just fourteen, yet his life was full of joy and the love for God. He reminds us that young people are called to holiness too, and that faith grows best when it is lived in community of fun and friendship.
