Try Alpha

Most people, at some point in their life, begin to ask deeper questions.

  • What do I believe?
  • What is the meaning of life?
  • Is there more than this?
  • Is God real — and if he is, can I know him?

Alpha is a series of group conversations that explore the basics of the Christian faith in a friendly and informal setting. It is for people who have questions, people who are curious, and people who are not sure what they believe. You do not need any background knowledge, and you will not be put on the spot. Everyone is welcome.

Alpha is especially helpful if you feel that something is missing, if you want to understand what Christians really believe, or if you are thinking about returning to the practice of the faith after time away.

A Typical Alpha Evening

  • A warm welcome
  • Something to eat and drink
  • A short talk or video on an aspect of the Christian faith
  • Time for honest conversation in a small group

People come to Alpha with very different stories. Some are completely new to faith. Some are returning to church after many years. Some are practising Christians who want to go back to the foundations and understand their faith more deeply. The aim is not to win arguments or to pressure anyone, but to create a space where real questions can be asked and where people can search for the truth together.

For many people, Alpha becomes the first step towards a deeper relationship with God, and sometimes the beginning of a journey that leads to the sacraments and full participation in the life of the Church.
