Confirmation
Confirmation is the sacrament in which those who have been baptised are strengthened by the gift of the Holy Spirit and sealed as witnesses to Christ. It completes what was begun at baptism and deepens our belonging to the life of the Church.
In Confirmation, the Holy Spirit is poured out upon us so that we may grow in faith, be more closely conformed to Christ and take our place more fully in the life and mission of the Church. It is a personal encounter with Christ who sends us out to live and share the Gospel in our everyday lives.
About Confirmation
Confirmation is usually administered by the bishop when a child is in Year 6.
We have a new parish priest and are currently creating a new confirmation preparation programme. The most important thing is that you are attending Mass on Sundays. Further details of how to apply will be forthcoming.
