What is a 'Cluster'?

1 July 2026

In the Archdiocese of Birmingham, parishes are grouped together into local clusters so that neighbouring churches can work more closely with one another, share resources, and support each other in the mission of the Church. This helps us to strengthen parish life, make better use of the gifts we have, and grow together rather than working alone.

Our local cluster brings together the Divine Mercy Partnership, Mother of God & Guardian Angels in Shard End, Our Lady Help of Christians in Kitts Green, and Sacred Heart & St Teresa in Coleshill. Each parish has its own history and identity, but we are on a shared journey, learning to work more closely together so that the Catholic faith can grow stronger in this part of Birmingham and the surrounding area.
